Become Catholic

The journey of faith through OCIA (RCIA).

Welcome Home

The process for adults to join the Catholic Church is known as the Order of Christian Initiation of Adults (OCIA), formerly RCIA. It is a journey of discovery, prayer, and community.

The Stages

  • Inquiry: A time for asking questions and exploring.
  • Catechumenate: A period of formal study and participation in the liturgy.
  • Purification and Enlightenment: Intensive preparation during Lent.
  • Mystagogy: Continued growth after receiving the sacraments.

If you feel called to explore the Catholic faith, the best first step is to visit a local parish or speak with a priest.
